Disability

Since 2026, I have been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Compared to many other people affected by this disease, I am extremely lucky. I was diagnosed early after developing the illness, I have (for the moment) very little neurological damage, and with contemporary medicines that are now available, I should be able to radically slow the progression of the disease and live essentially the life that I led before being diagnosed.

At the moment, the primary impact of the disease is a strict need to manage my time and stress. I am therefore very cautious in taking on new projects, and I strictly limit the number of students that I supervise.

It is also possible that I will be difficult to reach, should a period of serious relapse of symptoms arrive. I apologize in advance if a message or deadline which arrives during such a period is not taken care of.
